Cheddar Casserole Bread

Cheddar Casserole Bread
This bread was very easy to make. It had more of a biscuit consistency than I was expecting but overall it was very good.

Ingredients of Cheddar Casserole Bread
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup mayonnaise*
1 egg, beaten
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped green onions

Preparation of Cheddar Casserole Bread
1.In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Add the milk, mayonnaise and egg; mix just until combined. Fold in the cheese and onions.

2.Spoon into a greased 9-in. round baking pan.

3.Bake at 425 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

4.Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. Refrigerate any leftovers.
